The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation (NHCCF) was founded in 1983. For 17 years, the NHCCF worked to support Hispanic artists, offer educational programs and raise funds for the eventual creation of a campus to house these programs for generations to come. In October 2000, the founders’ dream came true when the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) was opened.

The NHCC, located along the Camino Real in the historic Barelas neighborhood in Albuquerque, NM, is an organization focused on the study, advancement, and presentation of Hispanic arts, culture, and humanities.

After the NHCC opened, the NHCC Foundation’s focus shifted away from programming and toward to providing full fundraising support for the many programs and exhibitions created by the NHCC.
